People ask me all the time what led me to health coaching. In short, a lifetime of health battles of my own, and some great examples from my parents and mentors early in life.
At 9 years old I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and for nearly 2 years took daily vitamins and supplements that corrected it.
At 10 years old I was diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatters disease--also called Little Leagues disease--which causes rupturing of the growth plates, extreme pain, and extra bone growth at the bottom of the knee. I had to wear braces for months until it resolved.
At 13 years old I was diagnosed with severe idiopathic Scoliosis that progressed from two curves of 35 degrees to the mid-50s in a couple years, despite wearing a brace 23/7, and doing 4 hours of physical therapy at home each day from 13 until 17. I even did 6-8 hour PT bootcamps once a year in that time. To this day it causes chronic pain.
At 29 years old I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which is a connective tissue disorder that has many side effects and chronic pain.

By 15 years old, I knew I wanted to go into healthcare somehow after my years of personal experience with health advocacy, insurance battles, and medical mysteries. I started taking my physical health more seriously, beginning weekly exercise routines that included stretching, weightlifting, jogging, and yoga.
I went on to get my Bachelor's Degree in Strength and Conditioning, with a Nutrition minor. During my education, I met several professors in the coaching space that inspired me, and led me to get certified as a health coach, and begin working in the field full time ever since. In 2023, I also got board-certified by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC), the highest level of certification and the largest governing body on health coaching standards.
I am a married mother of a toddler and baby who keep me on my toes! They help push me to prioritize my health, as well as my husband who values health just like I do. Without my experiences and family, I might not value my health the same way. However, my challenges have helped me to understand the struggles of many others. It helps me understand, empathize, and advocate for others in a powerful, personal way. Clients past and present have told me I am straight-forward, warm, honest, and insightful. If I don't have the knowledge or answers you need, I will find them. If you need accountability and a listening ear, I am here! If you need fresh ideas, we will brainstorm together. Let's work together, and achieve the kind of health you've always wanted!
